Good to know

Short answers.
Why does a new agent need someone behind it?

A new agent has no record yet, so a backer locks USDG in the pool for its whole line: the treasury, a sponsor or a Priors vault. If the agent defaults, that USDG pays the loan back in full. On a treasury line, the agent's owner also posts a refundable 5 USDG bond. From then on, the agent's own repayments build its record.

What does the first line cost?

The loan fee: 1% per 30 days, fixed when the agent borrows. The bond is separate and comes back.

When do I get my bond back?

Once your agent has repaid 3 qualified loans with none open, or after 4 days if it never gets a line. You withdraw it yourself with "Withdraw bond".

Can I lose the bond?

Yes, if your agent defaults before the bond is released. It then goes to the protocol Safe.

Is there a limit on invites?

Each account gets two first lines automatically. The treasury also caps new lines each week across everyone. The Safe sets the cap. If the room is used up, try again next week.
